Truly a challenging site with a captivating view. As the view was an important determinant in the client’s decision to acquire this property, the design needed to maintain both the view and control of solar exposure.

In determining the building’s orientation, the two prominent factors were the slope of the land and the direction of the view. We addressed the climactic conditions by including large (projecting) overhangs for sun control, and a linear plan to allow easy passage of air.
